8-Ball

1. Break the rack and play under the selected 8-ball rule set.
2. After groups are assigned, legally contact and pocket your own group.
3. A foul can give the opponent ball in hand.
4. Clear your group before attempting the 8-ball.
5. Legally pocket the 8-ball under the match rules to win.

9-Ball

1. On every legal shot, the cue ball must first contact the lowest-numbered ball on the table.
2. You can use combinations and cushions as long as first contact is legal.
3. The rack ends when the 9-ball is legally pocketed.
4. A foul hands the advantage to the opponent according to the selected rules.

Shot control

• Aim the cue line at your intended contact point.
• Choose power based on both potting and cue-ball position.
• Use spin to shape the cue ball after impact.
• Think one shot ahead before releasing.

When you are blocked

• Do not force a direct line through the wrong ball.
• Look for a cushion angle to reach a legal target.
• Consider a defensive shot when a clean pot is unavailable.
• Avoid reckless power that leaves an open table after a miss.

Tournaments

Each paired mini-room is its own match. Once two opponents are ready, their countdown starts and they can play without waiting for every other match in the round. The winner advances into the next available bracket pairing.
